NYC LL152: Gas Piping Inspections
Local Law 152 mandates NYC building owners to have a licensed plumber periodically inspect their buildings gas piping system over the next 4 years. Deadlines are determined based on the community district you live in. Further inspections are required every four years after your initial inspection.
Owners of all buildings with the exception of occupancy group R-3 must comply with this ordinance. It’s estimated that a total of 280,000 buildings in NYC must comply with Local Law 152.
The deadline for districts 2, 5, 7, 13, and 18 in all boroughs is December 31, 2023
